Our Occupational Therapists are licensed professionals who help children with developing fine motor skills and activities involving the small muscles of the hands as well as upper body strength and stability. They also help children learn self help and adaptive skills such as: feeding, eating with utensils, dressing, transitioning, focusing, tolerating and managing sensory information. The also make recommendations and may fabricate hand orthotics or adaptive equipment.
Our Physical Therapists are licensed professionals who help children with balance, coordination, posture and other movements or activities involving the large muscles of the body. Activities include: rolling, sitting, crawling, walking, standing, playing ball, running, jumping and climbing. We have therapists speciallizing in developmental impairments as well as orthopedic impairments, sports injury rehabilitation and post surgical rehabilitation. They also makes recommendations for adaptive equipment and orthotics including: walkers, gait trainers, standers, wheelchairs, adaptive seating/positioning, SMO’s, AFO’s and prostheses.
Our Speech Therapists are licensed professionals who help children improve their communication skills including understanding and producing speech, making clear sounds, and relating to others. Activities include: role play, object identification, building basic vocabulary groups. They also help children with swallowing and feeding difficulties. Activities include: trials of various textures and thicknesses, mouth muscle exercises, and swallowing coordination exercises. They also make recommendations for Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) Devices.
